Natural parks of Bashkortostan are merged into the Regional Directorate of Protected Areas

UFA, 26 March 2015. /Bashinform News Agency,Gulfiya Akulova/. The public institution "Directorate of Protected Areas of the Republic of Bashkortostan", state budgetary institutions - parks "Kandry-Kul", "Asly-Kul", "Iremel" and "Muradymovskoe Gorge" are merged into a single Directorate. It is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Nature and Ecology RB.

The new entity - state-financed institution "Directorate of Protected Areas of the Republic of Bashkortostan" is subordinate to the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic. The objectives of its activity are high quality maintenance of the specially protected natural areas of republican significance, restoration and conservation of biological diversity, conservation of populations of rare species of plants and wildlife, creating conditions for regulated tourism.

“Creation of new governance mechanism would allow for a common policy of natural objects preservation and effective use of budget funds, which is important in the current economic situation,” the Deputy Minister of Nature Management and Ecology of the republic Ildus Yachin explained.
