Snowmobile expedition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory starts in Bashkiria

UFA, 13 March 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. A snowmobile expedition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory starts from Ufa. Participants will travel along the route with length of more than 400 km. This was announced by the head of the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society in Bashkortostan Kamil Ziganshin. Travelers will carry with them the most precious relic of the Great Patriotic War, the symbol of resistance and invincibility of the Red Army - the Banner of Victory.

All along the commemorative route flowers will be laid at the obelisks to veterans who fell in battles against the Nazi invaders. The first stop is planned in the homeland of Mustai Karim, the national poet of Bashkortostan, Hero of Socialist Labour, holder of the Order of the Great Patriotic War and the Red Star - in Klyashevo village. The trip will complete in Urshakbashkaramaly village, where there is a bust to the Hero of the Soviet Union, guards lieutenant Minnigali Gubaidullin, who repeated the feat of Alexander Matrosov.

The Bashkir Branch of the Russian Geographical Society is the organizers of the rally. The expedition will start on March 13 at 8.30.
