Ufa residents prefer cars of foreign made

UFA, 10 March 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. Number of passenger cars is 313.5 thousand in Ufa. According to the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", as of January 1, 2015 the share of cars of foreign made amounts to 62.6 percent in Ufa.

In general, in Russia (excluding Crimean Federal District) number of passenger cars exceeded 40 million items, and foreign cars accounted for 55.4 percent of this figure. In the top 50 cities with the largest car fleet Ufa takes the 12th place.

According to experts, in 46 of 50 cities with the largest car fleet, the share of foreign cars exceeds the share of domestic cars. Foreign brands are the most popular in the Far East. In the cities of Primorye Territory: Nakhodka, Vladivostok and Ussuriisk number of foreign cars constitutes more than 90 percent.

In Togliatti, Ulyanovsk, Saratov products of domestic automotive industry still prevail. The share of foreign cars here is 33.4 percent, 44 percent and 48.5 percent respectively. The undisputed leader is Togliatti. Also Naberezhnye Chelny is among the Volga cities where the number of domestic cars exceeds the number of models of foreign brands (46.1 percent).
