Alpine skiing veterans and non-professionals competed in Beloretsk
UFA, 10 March 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. Beloretsk, the "Mratkino" ski centre hosted the fourth stage of the 5th Bashkortostan Cup in Alpine Skiing among non-professionals and sports veterans.
The organizers of the competition were the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Federation and the Central Club of Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding RB.
More than one hundred skiers from Ufa, Beloretsk, Ishimbay, Sterlitamak, Birsk, Salavat, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Ozersk, Magnitogorsk, Miass, St. Petersburg came to compete at Beloretsk piste.
At the opening of the competition athletes were welcomed by the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports RB Alexey Novikov, the President of the Federation of Skiing and Snowboarding RB Andrey Polyakov, the head of Beloretsk regional administration Vladislav Mironov.
The competitions were held in the giant slalom discipline. Mikhail Pudovkin and Natalia Petrova from Beloretsk became the absolute winners of the fourth stage of the competition.
The last fifth stage and final of the Cup RB in Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding among non-professionals will be held on March 21 in Ufa Olympic Park. Besides in Beloretsk regional competitions of young skiers "Vesnushki" (freckles) will be held on March 19-22.
