Academician Robert Nigmatulin will read an open lecture on economic and environmental issues in Ufa

UFA, 5 March 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. Professor Robert Nigmatulin, the director of the Shirshov’s Institute of Oceanology, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences with read an open lecture "Four "E "of Contemporaneity: Economy, Environment, Energy, Ethnicity" at Bashkir Academy of Public Service and Management (BAGSU). The Professor will share his views on the relationship and significance of subjects indicated in the lecture with the scientific community of the republic and students of BAGSU.

In his speech the academician will analyze the causes of environmental decline on the planet, the effects of global warming, will consider a possibility of obtaining new energy sources. Robert Nigmatulin will talk with students about the causes of the economic crisis in Russia, will disclose the contemporary ethnic issues and explain the role of science in the search for a way out of the crisis.

Robert Nigmatulin is a famous scientist, public figure. In 2000 he was awarded the Medal of Honour, in 2011 - the Order "For Services to the Fatherland» of the 4th degree. He is also a holder of the Governmental Award of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology in 2012.

The academician has over 200 scientific publications, including eight books, 21 inventor's certificates (patents). Among his followers are 25 doctors and 50 candidates of science, three directors of academic institutions, one corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
