UFA, 27 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Catherine Sokolova/. Ufa city council decided to change the structure of the City Hall. This was announced at the 42nd meeting of the City Council the day before.
One of the main issues on the agenda was a radical change in the structure of the City Hall - a reduction of three posts of deputy heads of Ufa administration. After optimization the number of vice-mayors will be seven instead of ten. Under the new concept, it will be also a merger of the Directorate of Land Resources and the Directorate of Land and Property Relations of the City Hall. In addition, a new Department of Transport and Communications will be established.
Also structural innovations involve the redistribution of powers between functional departments and Directorates of the City Hall.
According to the Chairman of the City Council of Ufa Eugene Semivelichenko, the new structure is designed to improve the efficiency of urban management and cost optimization. The changes do not involve enlarging the staff number of municipal employees, the head of the City Council said.
