Presidential decrees implementation in secondary vocational education was discussed at educational forum in Ufa
UFA, 26 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. Implementation issues of decrees and orders of the President of Russia in the field of vocational education were discussed in the framework of the educational forum in Ufa.
For the first time a federal package of measures aimed at improving the vocational education system in the 2015-2020 years was presented to professional community.
This includes changes in the legal framework, the content of education and implementation of practice-oriented teaching methods, continuous training of teachers and administrative staff, monitoring system creation and training quality control. A number of activities, including the development of national and sectoral championships of professional skills, aims at increasing the prestige of blue-collar professions.
Speaking about regional features of vocational education modernization, the Minister of Education RB Alfis Gayazov marked that there was a clear trend in the development of cluster models of manpower training management in the republic.
Another issue discussed by the meeting was formation of multi-functional centres of applied qualifications. There was presented a unique for Russia multipurpose centre of applied qualifications that implemented the programs for training, retraining and advanced training of mining industry employees, established in 2014 at Uchaly Mining College.
No less important issue was creating special conditions at vocational education institutions for people with disabilities. According to the head of secondary vocational department of the Ministry of Education RB Emil Habirov, due to modernization every third institution of vocational education currently is available for this category of citizens in Bashkortostan.
