Salavat Yulaev starts playoff-2015 versus the current holder of the Gagarin Cup

UFA, 25 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. Yesterday the last match of the regular championship of the seventh season of the Kontinental Hockey League finished in Ufa. HC Salavat Yulaev in a bitter struggle beat HC Sibir (Novosibirsk) with a score of 3: 2. This victory allowed the Ufa team to reach the sixth place in the East Conference.

Thus, the Bashkir club will compete with the Eastern third team in the first round of play-off – HC Metallurg (Magnitogorsk).

The first matches of Ufa-Magnitogorsk confrontation in the 1/4 finals of the East Conference will be held in Magnitogorsk from February 28 to March 1.

Other Eastern pairs were as follows: Ak Bars (Kazan) - Automobilist (Ekaterinburg), Sibir (Novosibirsk) - Tractor (Chelyabinsk) and Avangard (Omsk) - Barys (Astana).
