League of Nation's Health Charitable Foundation concerns about the future of our country - Leo Bokeria

UFA, 25 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Catherine Sokolova/. Bashkortostan Republican Charitable Foundation of the League of Nation's Health celebrated its fifth anniversary on Wednesday, February 25. The famous heart surgeon Leo Bokeria sent a welcome letter to the Foundation.

"The first major project of the Foundation was the All-Russian charity event "Touch a Child's Heart" in the Republic of Bashkortostan aimed at providing targeted assistance to children with congenital heart disease. According to the results of the campaign residents and organizations of the republic collected over 18 million rubles, more than 80 children from the region were operated in Bakulev Centre", it is said in the letter.

On the eve of its anniversary the Republican Foundation initiated a charity marathon "100 days before the Great Victory". The marathon kicked off on January 30 and will end on May 9. The Public Chamber of Bashkortostan was a co-organizer of the marathon.

As the heart surgeon marked in his letter, the activity of the League of Nation's Health Foundation testified to the fact that it really cared about the fate of our children and the future of our country.
