Bashkir athletes won medals at the World Championships in Para-Ski

UFA, 25 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. In Germany, the World Championships in Para-Ski is finished.

The competition was attended by 53 athletes from Russia, Germany, Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. The national Russian team included athletes from Bashkiria (Ufa, Kumertau and Octyabrsky).

In the men's team competition the team of Russia, including three Ufa athletes: Alexey Burenin, Anton Filippov and Ayaz Karimov, won silver medals.

In the women's team competition, which was played for the first time in the history of the world championships in para-ski, bronze medals were won by the women's national team of Russia, including Ufa native Catherine Nevskaya. She also took the third place in the individual championship in giant slalom.

Ayaz Karimov won a silver and Anton Filippov a bronze award in the individual competitions.
