Children's sports program is developed in Bashkortostan

UFA, 18 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Iliya Spiridonov/. In Bashkortostan, a program for the development of mass children's sports will soon be adopted. This was reported today by the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov following the meeting on this topic, which was held at "Olympic Park" ski complex in Ufa.

"There are about 107 sports cultivated in the Republic of Bashkortostan. All of them are interesting, all are important. We agreed that the special program of mass children's sports should be developed. We will discuss it in a month, maximum in six weeks”, Rustem Khamitov said.

According to him, during the preparation of the program a special focus will be made on financing issues.

“At the end of March at a large republican meeting we will discuss the state of children's sports, identify funding sources, determine activities in terms of keeping promising young people in our republic”, the Head of Bashkortostan said. “The program will be developed and adopted. And most importantly, it will be provided with funding. This work will begin today by my colleagues from the Ministry of Sports and the Government of the Republic.”
