Volunteers from Ufa were awarded medals and diplomas of the President of the Russian Federation at a National Forum in Sochi

UFA, 17 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. Commemorative medals "For significant contribution to the preparation and holding of the 12th Olympic Winter Games and 11th Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi" and diplomas of the President of Russia were awarded to the Rector of Bashkir State Medical University (BSMU) Valentin Pavlov, as well as the director and volunteers of BSMU centre: Alina Trusova, Rosa Haertdinova, Julia Surkova, Gulnara Idrisova and Alina Galieva. The ceremony took place in Sochi at the first National Forum of Volunteers.

The event brought together more than 400 volunteers from all regions. Volunteer leaders gathered to exchange experiences, share ideas, to identify existing problems and to outline concrete steps for further development of volunteering in Russia.

Discussion platforms were divided in five areas - medical, social, eventful, cultural and celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory.

Organizers of the forum are the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, "Rospatriottsentr" of Rosmolodezh in partnership with the Association of Volunteer Centres and "Mosvolonter".
