Preparations for the spring floods are begun in Bashkortostan

UFA, 17 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Sergey Zakharov/. The Bashkortostan Government issued a decree on preparation of hydraulic structures, bridges, utilities and energy networks, engineering services for the upcoming spring floods.

The document approved the structure of the flood protection commission - it was headed by the Deputy Prime Minister Marat Magadeev. An action plan for accident-free spring floods and schedule control of flood situation was adopted in the republic.

Appropriate recommendations on the organization of activities related to the ice flow passage, level rise of rivers, protection of the population and preservation of material valuables in the flooded areas were sent to the ministries and departments responsible for the preparation and implementation of flood control activities.
