Wind and solar energy are used in Bashkiria to generate electricity

UFA, 4 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. In Khaybullino region an unusual installation of street lighting with miniature wind turbines and solar panels is establsihed. The new equipment generates electricity through wind and sun.

As the information-analytical department of the Khaybullino region administration informs, today modern appliances are installed in Akyar village on dangerous parts of roads. This work is a part of the comprehensive program of the Medium-Term Economic Development of Trans-Urals for 2011-2015.

The modern equipment converting natural energy into electrical energy saves costs. This system is an alternative to traditional electric-power generation. Also, dashcams are mounted on the facility.

As the head of the Akyar rural settlement Eldar Buranbaev said, the costs of this lighting equipment were minor and would be shortly paid back. In the future, such lighting will be installed at intersections and interchanges of large highways.
