Part of the Sverdlovsk Region may be transferred to Bashkortostan
UFA, 3 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. Sverdlovsk Governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev ordered to revise the boundaries of the region so that they would not violate the rights of border villages, the official website of the regional government informs.
According to ITAR-TASS, the revision in relation to two villages was initiated by Bashkortostan. Their territories on the cadastral map partially belong to the Sverdlovsk Region, while the settlements themselves belong to Bashkortostan. This creates certain difficulties in real estate transactions. For example, part of Cheryomushki Street in Ust-Tabasca village of Askino region of the republic is formally under the jurisdiction of the Sverdlovsk Region.
New borders will be established by a special commission, which will include representatives from neighboring regions, including Bashkortostan.
