Andrei Vasilevsky Jr. called to "Tampa Bay Lightning" to change Bishop

UFA, 3 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. National Hockey League club "Tampa Bay Lightning" placed on waivers the Russian goalie Evgeny Nabokov, then none of the teams of the League chose him. He was sent to the "Syracuse Crunch" club.

At the same time the alumnus of Ufa hockey Andrei Vasilevsky, who proved himself as good player both in the championships of the American Hockey League (AHL) and in the NHL, is called from the "Crunch".

Vasilevsky will change the main goalkeeper of Tampa Bay Lightning - American Ben Bishop.

"Initially, I thought that Andrei this season will hold three or four games in the NHL. Although Andrei was said before that they counted on him. This challenge is the recognition of Andrei’s aspirations and his work in "Syracuse", Vasilevsky’s father Andrey Leonidovich commented on the decision.
