Since January 2015 restrictions on foreign workers employment in some sectors of the economy are imposed

UFA, 12 January 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. Since 2015 restrictions on foreign workers employment in some sectors of the economy are introduced. In accordance with the Federal Law "On Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation" allowable share of foreign workers employed in various sectors of economy taking into account regional characteristics of the labour market and the need for priority employment of Russian citizens is set annually.
Thus, the allowable percentage of foreign workers employed in the retail trade of alcoholic beverages, including beer is 15 percent. Their share in the retail trade of tobacco products should be 15 percent, in vegetable farming - 50 percent, in other activities in the field of sports - 25 percent, in the activities of other land transport - 50 percent. Migrants are still prohibited, as before, to be employed in retail trade of pharmaceutical goods.
Restrictions on foreign labour force in vegetable production and transport are due to the observed increase of foreign nationals inflows to these sectors, according to the Ministry of Labour of Russia.
