Development and Creativity Centre for children with disabilities will appear in Sterlitamak

UFA, 12 January 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. In Sterlitamak a new facility for children with disabilities is preparing for the opening - Development and Creativity Centre. The Centre is a part of the "Mother and Child" Charity Foundation providing comprehensive care for children with serious illnesses. The main goals and objectives of the Centre are social adaptation and rehabilitation.

“Previously, we did not have our own building. Places where professionals worked with children were scattered throughout the city. Now the area of 442 sq m will house all departments of the Centre. Our children will be able to receive massage therapy, physical therapy, psychological support all located in one place. The new building also includes a hall with a large stage, a gym, rooms for group and individual classes, offices of psychologist, neurologist, speech therapist,” the Foundation Manager Timur Kunakkuzin said.

Currently, the Centre for Development and Creativity unites 46 young residents of Sterlitimak with disabilities. With the commissioning of the new building the Centre will be able to render assistance to about 175 children. All services to disabled are provided free of charge, healthy children can also visit the Centre.
