Rustem Khamitov: "During the SCO and BRICS Summits we should show our republic in its true colours"

UFA, 31 December 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Iliya Spiridonov/. The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov at a meeting with journalists of federal and republican mass media spoke about the preparation to the SCO and BRICS Summits to be held in Ufa in 2015. According to head of the republic we should not try to surprise guests with something unusual but just show our individuality.

“Let us greet our guests as we usually do this - without any strain and splendour. We have a lot of sights. And they are quite worth seeing. We are absolutely competitive,” the head of the region said.

Rustem Khamitov also noted that the forum of interregional cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan with participation of heads of states would be held in Ufa in October 2015. Moreover, the Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the idea of holding the first interregional forum for small and medium-sized businesses of the SCO and BRICS state-members in our republic. The corresponding documents are already submitted to the relevant ministries.
