"Health care centralization will improve the situation in the branch" - Rustem Khamitov told RBC channel

UFA, 17 December 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov in his interview to RBC gave comments on health care reform. In particular, he talked about the concern of the republican citizens in connection with the closing of rural hospitals. The President assured that the hospitals would not be closed.
“Indeed, the nursing care departments are transformed into therapeutic departments. It is only change in the name: the number of beds, the building and specialists are retained, moreover, therapists are added”, Rustem Khamitov said.
The President also stressed the fact that the management of health care institutions should conduct outreach and educational work among the population regarding the modernization of this sector.
“Municipalities have a small resource base, and it is difficult to maintain city or municipal health care at a high level. Therefore, in the past two years, transition from municipalities and cities under the jurisdiction of the republic has become a trend. Actually, all this is done in order to improve the situation in health care”, Rustem Khamitov added.
