Bashkortostan NGOs will receive nearly 20 million rubles on implementation of social projects
UFA, 9 December 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. In the third open competition for grants of the RF President to non-governmental organizations 10 Bashkortostan NGOs will receive funding for the implementation of social projects. The total amount of allocated funds amounted to about 20 million rubles.
The winner of the presidential competition the Foundation for Socially Significant Diseases Prevention and Promotion of Healthy Lifestyles "No to Alcoholism and Drug Use" will receive 3,984,420 rubles.
3.5 million rubles were won by the project of the regional branch of the Russian public organization "Russian Union of Young Scientists" "Regional Cooperation".
3,012,000 rubles as grant support will go to the non-profit partnership "Centre for Geopolitical Studies "Berlek-Edinstvo" for promotion of traditional spiritual values of the Eurasian civilization among students of Russian regions and republics of Central Asia.
Regional Public Organization of the League of Women of Bashkortostan will receive three million rubles for the project "Women of Bashkortostan, We are Together!"
A grant of 1.9 million rubles will be given to autonomous nonprofit organization People's University for the "Third Age" social initiative.
Regional public organization "Union of Successful Women" of Bashkortostan Republic won a grant of 1.5 million rubles for development of a permanent health and recreation centre for children of pre-school age "Mary Poppins" (Sterlitamak). It is planned to cover 2,500 preschoolers per month with the centre activities.
During the competition grants operators of Russia reviewed 2936 applications and selected 347 projects.
