Rustem Khamitov attended a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Russian Volleyball Federation

UFA, 5 December 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Iliya Spiridonov/. On December 4, in Moscow the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov attended a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Russian Volleyball Federation.

The President of the Federation Stanislav Shevchenko presented to the members of the Board a report on performance of national teams of Russia in the season of 2014 and spoke about their preparations for the season of 2015.

In Bashkortostan over 66 thousand people are involved in amateur and professional volleyball. Since 2009, the republican sports schools and professional volleyball clubs prepared 74 candidate masters, 3 masters of sports and 2 world-class athletes. Long-term program for development and promotion of volleyball is developed. Beach volleyball grounds are opened in Kashkadan Park, at the city levee "Monument of Friendship " and Yakutov Park in Ufa.

Currently construction of modern specialized volleyball complex in Kalinin Park is under consideration in Ufa.
