Active participants of international environmental campaign "Save and Preserve" are awarded in Ufa

UFA, 26 November 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The Ministry of Nature Management and Ecology of Bashkortostan Republic held an awarding ceremony of active participants of the international environmental campaign "Save and Preserve".

The events of the campaign were held from May to October under the slogan "Ecology and Culture - the Future of Bashkortostan!", the press service of the department informs. They included clean-ups of water protection zones, specially protected areas, accomplishment of settlements, environmental classes in educational institutions, seminars and conferences. The activities were focused on work with the younger generation. Therefore, among the main participants of the "Save and Preserve" campaign were pupils and students.

“This year, about two million people took part in the events”, the minister of nature management and ecology RB Ildar Khadyev said.

The international project "Save and Preserve" has been implemented in the republic since 2010. The main objective of this large-scale ecological campaign is to form environmental awareness, respect for our nature.
