390 litres of blood were collected during "Save Life" campaign in Ufa

UFA, 20 November 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. As part of the youth campaign "Save Life" held jointly with the initiative group "New Life" and the regional cultural and recreational NGO "Healthy Planet", about 390 litres of blood were collected.

850 people participated in the campaign, which started in the Republican Blood Transfusion Station on November 1, the press service of the Ministry of Health RB informs.

“These are young people who are generally healthy and motivated to become potential donors”, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health RB Svetlana Kuskarbekova says.

During the campaign the Blood Banking of the republic has been working with major universities of Ufa. Mobile blood collection point worked in the territory of Bashkir State University, Agrarian, Aviation and Pedagogical Universities, VEGU University. Furthermore, students from other universities and educational institutions of Ufa were able to donate blood at the Republican Blood Transfusion Station.

The campaign will end on November 31.
