Rustem Khamitov suppressed attempts to distort social tourism program

At a meeting of the Republican Organizing Committee for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Victory the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov urged the State Committee on Entrepreneurship and Tourism RB to focus on social tourism.

“This program should not be turned into distortion. People should not be sent to unsuitable for living and recreation rest homes, some strange structures. I have quite a lot of complaints that people on social tourism program receive quite the wrong way of support. Instead of recreation they receive there additional stress and return ill,” the head of the republic said.

Recall that the republican target program of social tourism development has been implemented in Bashkortostan since 2011. Over the last three years more than 130 million rubles were allocated for its implementation. Three areas of tourist routes are realized as part of the program: the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Russian Federation and foreign countries. This year, more than eight thousand elderly people were provided with tourist vouchers.
