Ufa residents are invited to take part in the "Olympic Breaks"

UFA, 17 November 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The Russian Olympic Committee and the administration of Ufa invite citizens to participate in the start of mass sports and entertainment project "Olympic Breaks".

The "Olympic Breaks" is a nationwide project. Its authors planned and created new opportunity for engaging people in sports through entertaining, easy way. The project started in November of 2013. Then a machine appeared in Moscow metro that gave everyone a free ticket for 30 sit-ups. For one month over 11 thousand passengers have taken part in the campaign. The idea became very popular and attracted attention both in Russia and abroad. The project involves the cities of Kazan, Samara, Ufa, Omsk, Rostov-on-Don, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg.

In Ufa a unique event will be held in the park at the intersection of Lenin and Pushkin Streets on November 20 at 14.00. It will be attended by famous Russian athletes - Olympic champions and representatives of the Russian Olympic Committee, officials of Ufa City Hall, as well as all comers. Participants will be able to share their warmth with residents of other nine Russian cities with the help of specially designed machines and simple physical exercises.
