Salavat Yulaev(Ufa) and Avangard (Omsk) defined the winner only in the duel of goalies
UFA, 13 November 2014. /Bashinform News Agency/. A match of the Kontinental Hockey League championship between Salavat Yulaev and Avangard (Omsk) took place in Ufa.
In the first period a throw by Vladimir Pervushin caught the goalkeeper of Ufa team Vladimir Sohatsky unawares - 0: 1.
Six minutes before the end of the second period Dmitry Makarov managed to hit the net of perfectly playing Konstantin Barulin - 1: 1.
In the third period both teams had chances to snatch a victory, but goalkeepers played well – and a tied score remained until overtime. Five minutes of the overtime did not reveal the winner.
The decisive was an additional series of shoot-outs where Kirill Semenov brought a victory to the visiting team - 2:1.
Next match Ufa players will hold at home versus CSKA Moscow on November 14.
