On November 12, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolay Patrushev and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich, accompanied by the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov visited JSC "Ufa Engine Industrial Association" (UMPO), the press service of the head of the region informs.

The Security Council Secretary and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District were shown production facilities, in particular, the centre of competence where components for future civil engine PD-14 are produced using the unique for Russia technology.

It was demonstrated a shop where complex nodes from titanium alloys are welded, and a test stand, where guests watched the engine afterburning for fighter Su-35S of 4 ++ generation.

The plant currently implements a comprehensive program of technical re-equipment, including the acquisition of modern multifunctional and specialized equipment, modernization of unique production equipment and the testbed.

JSC "Ufa Engine Industrial Association" is the largest manufacturer of aircraft engines in Russia. The company specializes in production and maintenance of turbo-jet aircraft engines that are installed in modern military aircraft systems. Also, the factory produces parts for helicopters and gas turbine power equipment.
