German surgeons will conduct demonstration operations in Ufa clinics

UFA, 13 November 2014. /Bashinform News Agency/. From November 14 to 17, the republican scientific and practical conference with international participation "Modern Aspects of Surgery and Education in Russia and Germany" will be held in Ufa. The event will take place in the framework of international cooperation between University of Regensburg and Bashkir State Medical University (BSMU).

The agreement on cooperation signed between two Universities in the past year, involves academic exchanges of students, lecturers, as well as joint research, the press centre of Bashkir State Medical University informs.

In addition to the plenary sessions, where experts will discuss innovations in general and visceral surgery, a possibility of creating biological pacemakers and other issues, the German surgeons will hold demonstration operations in urology, coloproctology, reconstructive and plastic surgery.

Professors Wieland and Kunz will perform demonstration operations on reconstructive and plastic surgery and removal of tumors with a laser. They will be moderated by Professor Chossi, the founder of the German School of Urology. Laparoscopic 3D surgery will be conducted by coloproctology surgeon, Professor Furst. Professor Prantal will show the first master class of plastic surgery.

Operations will take place at BSMU clinics, Republican Clinical Oncology Centre and "Mat’ I Detya" Clinic.

At the end of the event, representatives of two universities will share their developments in the field of medicine and will discuss plans for further joint work.
