Bashkir State University became a partner of Rossotrudnichestvo

UFA, 12 November 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. Bashkir State University (BSU) and Rossotrudnichestvo (Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation) signed an agreement under which BSU gained an official status of the university partner of federal agencies involved in implementation of international educational and scientific projects. This document was signed by the head of department Konstantin Kosachev and BSU Rector Nikolay Morozkin.
As the press centre of the university reports, the agreement aims to promote and support the Russian education abroad, international cooperation in the sphere of education and science, development of academic mobility of students and teachers.
"Cooperation will be carried out at representative offices of Rossotrudnichestvo abroad through joint scientific-methodical and educational projects and activities", the document says.
On the same day, along with the BSU, the agency signed agreements with Moscow Institute of Electronic Engineering and Higher School of Economics.
“Rossotrudnichestvo has a large number of offices abroad, which will expand Bashkir State University’s international contacts in the field of education and science, as well as enhance academic mobility of students and teachers,” the BSU Vice-Rector on International Cooperation and Public Relations, Alexander Shabrin commented.
Currently 308 foreign students from 18 countries study at BSU. 42 students of Bashkir State University participate in exchange programs in the framework of cooperation agreements with foreign universities; lecturers from abroad work at the university.
It is planned that the agreement, signed with Rossotrudnichestvo, will bring the international activities of the university to a higher level.
