Ecology Ministry of Bashkortostan forms a list of rare animals for inclusion in the Red Book of the republic

UFA, 11 November 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The Ministry of Nature Management and Ecology of the Republic of Bashkortostan invites interested persons to discuss the list of wild animals that are recommended for inclusion in the Red Data Book of the region, as well as for exclusion from it.

As the press-service of the Ministry informs, now the volume "Animals" is being prepared for reprinting including rare and endangered species of animals and plants in the territory of Bashkortostan. 114 species of wild animals are recommended for inclusion in the new edition, 23 species for exclusion from it. For example, it is proposed to exclude from the list swallowtail butterfly, gray goose, mute swan, gray partridge. Experts attribute this to the fact that their numbers are now stabilized due to natural causes and the impact of measures taken for protection of the populations.

The list of species that are proposed for inclusion in the Red Book and the exclusion from it can be found on the official website of the Ministry of Ecology RB.

Recall that for the first time the "Animals" volume of the Red Book RB was published in 2004.
