Basketball players of BSAU reached the second stage of the national qualification for the EuroCup-2015

UFA, 4 November 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Evgeniya Syutkina/. In Ufa, basketball players of Bashkir State Agrarian University (BSAU) in the national qualification for the International Students League in EuroCup-2015 held a match versus Magnitogorsk team "Metallurg- University" and following the results of two matches reached the next stage of the competition.

Ufa team won the first match in Magnitogorsk with a lead of 26 points (82:56). Thus in return game BSAU students should not lose more than 26 points.

“Three points at home match (82:85) did not affect the overall result - the team of Bashkir Agrarian University reached the next qualification stage for the EuroCup-2015”,the head coach Yuriy Maximov said.

Now Bashkir players will meet with the team of Lomonosov’s Moscow State University.

The first match BSAU will hold versus MSU in Moscow approximately on November 15. The return home match will be held in Ufa on November 28. The winner of the pair will reach the final of the EuroCup-2015, where the four best Russian teams will play versus 12 teams from other countries – ISBL members - Germany, Georgia, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Serbia, Turkey, Croatia, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Estonia and Japan.
