UFA, 27 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. In Bashkortostan there are 2 million 162.3 thousand women and 1 million 907.4 thousand men, according to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency. In different age groups the sex ratio varies considerably.

Thus, men outnumber women at the age under 20, and at the age of 25 to 34 years. After 35 years woman begin to lead, and the numerical difference between the sexes increases with age.

Thus, in the age group of 35 to 39 years there are 130.4 thousand men for 138.3 thousand women. By 55-59 years - 163.7 thousand women for 134.8 thousand men. At the age of 60 years, the number of women is already 1.8 times more than men: 459.7 thousand and 256 thousand, respectively.
