On Saturday night Bashkiria finally moves to winter time

UFA, 24 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Iliya Spiridonov/. In the night from Saturday to Sunday Bashkortostan finally moves to winter time. The clocks will be set back one hour. Under Federal law it will happen the last time – time keeping will not change in the republic anymore.

The head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov commented on the new procedure for time keeping, which will operate in Russia since October 26. This was reported on the official webpage of the Presidential Administration RB on Facebook.

“The new time will be closer to our geographical belt. At DST we had noon at 14.30, and now it will be at 13.30. From the point of view of biological activity of a person it is a plus,” Rustem Khamitov said.
