Competition for the most accessible social facilities for disabled people is announced in Bashkortostan

UFA, 24 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. The competition "Accessible Environment" initiated by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection RB will reveal the most accessible social facilities for people with disabilities in the republic.

“Any social institutions, regardless of patterns of ownership - shops, pharmacies, banks, institutions of culture, education, health, sports, etc are invited to participate in the competition. The main condition of the competition is that the building should be accomplished in terms of accessibility for people with limited mobility. It is welcomed when buildings are fitted with ramps, lifts, elevators, handrails and any other equipment”, the spokeswoman for the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection RB Rosa Kuzmenko explained.

To participate in the competition an application should be sent to the email address horeshko.iv@bashkortostan.ru in a special form; information material (not less than 10 colour photographs showing the availability of the object for disabled people); a written description of the object in any form. Other materials, including brochures and booklets are also accepted.

Applications for participation in the competition should be submitted from October 24 till November 24 this year. The awards ceremony will be held in December.
