Ufa will host "Wiki Sabantuy 2015»

UFA, 23 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. In April next year there is the 10th anniversary of Wikipedia edition in Bashkir language. In this regard, "Wikimedia RU" - a non-profit organization that provides support for a number of research and educational projects in the languages of the peoples of Russia, plans to hold a complex of commemorative events «Wiki-Sabantui 2015». In this connection various contests, lectures, workshops, expeditions will be conducted.

The main event - free and open to everybody conference will be held in April 2015 in Ufa. It is expected arrival of editors of 35 Wikipedia editions in languages of the peoples of Russia and related Wiki projects (Wiktionary, Wikibooks, Wikiquote, Wikinews, Wikisource, Wikiversity, Wikiguide). Participation of foreign Wikimedians is not excluded, in particular, representatives of the Turkic-speaking Wikipedia. Also a creative workshop began its work where everyone can participate in creation and maintenance of graphic materials. The first proposals of the main logo of "Wiki Sabantui 2015" are already received by the organizers.
