Prospects for innovative research and development of small business were discussed at USPTU

UFA, 23 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency,Elmira Sabirova/. The Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU) hosts at the IV International Conference "Ecological problems of oil production" was a scientific workshop "On multiple-access centres established in Ufa". The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB Dmitry Sharonov, young scientists and students of USPTU participated in discussing the prospects for innovative research and development of small business.
The Deputy Prime Minister outlined three priority areas - petrochemicals, biotechnology and electronics. Multiple-access centres with the state-of-the-art equipment work in Ufa to foster and support small business innovation. Particular attention was paid by Dmitry Sharonov to problems encountered by Russian enterprises in connection with the sanctions.
“Today, nearly 90 percent of the reagents are imported from abroad. We have good conditions for the import substitution production, particularly in small-scale chemistry”, he stressed.
Director of Institute of Oil Refining Elshad Telyashev noted that "today, the conditions are created for implementation of ideas and new developments".
74 laboratories of the Institute of Oil Refining are equipped with unique equipment and open to undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students capable to work for the benefit of science. Elshad Telyashev urged the youth to take the initiative.
Undergraduate and graduate students from other cities of Russia and CIS: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan actively participated in the workshop.
Acting rector of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University Ramil Bakhtizin on behalf of the President of the Academy of Technological Sciences of Russia handed over Dmitry Sharonov a diploma and a medal "For development of innovative technologies".
