A week before the end of voting Kurai flower leads in the list of Bashkiria symbols

UFA, 23 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency. Gulfiya Akulova/. There is a little more than one week before the end of the online voting for the green symbol of Bashkortostan. Tilia cordata has been the leader of the All-Russian patriotic campaign "Alley of Russia" for several months. As shown by votes rating on the official website of the project, republican residents see Kurai flower (Salsola ruthenica) as its green symbol. The plant received 23103 votes of the portal visitors, which amounted to 45 percent of the total number of votes. Tilia cordata was on the second place with 42 percent.

Voting for the plant symbols of all 85 Russian regions as part of the "Alley of Russia" campaign will end on October 31. The inhabitants of the republic, like all Russians, still have an opportunity to influence the outcome of elections. You can answer the question: "With what plant do you associate Bashkortostan?" on the internet portal «Alleys of Russia».

At the end of the campaign the alleys of those plants which gain most votes in the Russian regions, will be planted in Sevastopol, on May 9, 2015.
