Ufa pupil won a gold medal at Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad

UFA, 22 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. 10-th grader of Ufa Lyceum No. 153 Ivan Veselov (teacher - Alexander Gildin) won the gold medal at Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO).

The competition among the strongest experts in Informatics this year was held for the eighth time. It was attended by more than 600 students from 29 countries, such as Australia, China, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Iran. Russia, Armenia, Georgia, Israel, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan were represented for the first time. Participants competed for 15 gold, 32 silver and 52 bronze medals at the Olympiad, according to the Ministry of Education RB.
