XIV Russian Energy Forum started its work in Ufa

UFA, 21 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. On October 21, the XIV Russian Energy Forum started its work at Ufa exhibition complex "VDNkH-Expo". It is attended by more than 120 experts of the energy sector from the Russian Federation, the CIS and other countries. The purpose of the scale event is to develop new projects in the field of energy saving and efficiency in such important field as "green energy". In addition, the Forum is the first event organized in the framework of the upcoming SCO Summit.

The official opening of the forum and exhibition was attended by the President RB Rustem Khamitov. As he pointed out in his speech, the Russian Energy Forum should become an important platform for development of effective, real-world solutions to the development of energy systems and the industry as a whole.

“Our republic has reliable, large power grid system; its work largely determines our industry functioning as a whole. Nevertheless, new power capacities are necessary for development of the industry. We must work hard that new energy facilities appear in our region. Now our key thermal energy demands its further development. Small or alternative energy is "in its infancy" so far, we must support it. In the field of water power engineering only three large-scale hydro power plants and 12 small and micro-hydro power plants work. Although, there are enough resources in the republic for this sector development. The construction of five solar power plants with a total capacity of about 40 MW is being conducted. In mid-2015, the first stage of the largest of them - Buribaevskaya solar power plant will be commissioned. Since 2001, the wind farm with capacity of 2.2 MW operates in Tuimazy region. The republic also works on application other alternative energy sources, in particular, livestock waste, yard waste, recoverable resources as a source of gas, followed by production of heat and electricity,” Rustem Khamitov marked.

The business program of the Forum includes scientific and practical conferences "Topical issues of power supply enterprises", "Renewable energy: solar, wind and water", "Smart Grid as the main tool of energy saving" and panel discussions.

Within four days of the Forum the leading industry experts, representatives of federal and regional legislative and executive branches, top executives of leading energy companies will make their reports.

For the first time the Forum program includes an enlarged meeting of the expert sections of the Advisory Council of the Chairman of the Duma Committee on Energy "Problems of Regional Power Sector".

As part of specialized exhibitions "Energy Saving. Electrical Engineering. Cable" and "SCO Power Sector" the state-of-the-art equipment and technology of international scale will be presented by more than 150 enterprises from 25 regions of Russia, Belarus, representative offices and dealers companies from Germany, Austria, Taiwan, Italy, New Zealand, Poland, Ireland and Spain.

Novelties in energy and electromechanical equipment will be presented by the major industry enterprises: Sverdlovsk Plant of Current Transformers, Scientific-Production Enterprise "Ekra" and LLC "Cheboksary Electrical Engineering and Automation", "OBO Bettermann", "Electric Tauris", "Schneider Electric", "Ostec Systems ","Avelar Solar Technology"," Hevel ", LLC "Elektropromavtomatika" from Stavropol.
