Landscaped five-km embankment and cableway will appear in Ufa

UFA, 17 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The First Deputy Head of Ufa Alexander Filippov told reporters about preservation of cultural heritage and landscaping of the city at a press conference.

The city administration considers as one of the most important tasks of the near future to complete the southern slope landscaping before the end of this year.

“This issue is long overdue - the place is very beautiful, we are now actively engaged in this project. Stairs, a sightseeing platform, a road to the quay are made, Hilton Hotel will be completed. Works on strengthening the embankment are conducted quite actively. The federal funding is 1.3 billion rubles, the funds are being spent, the quality of work is quite good. There will be an opportunity to hold festivals, events there, to walk with children, enjoy views on the river. We tried to take into account the opinions of the majority and to make a compromise. The length of the quay will be more than five kilometres,” Alexander Filippov promised.

The tender was held for the cableway construction in Ufa, the winner was the Moscow-based company.

"We plan to carry out the construction of the cableway without budgetary funds. The project is very interesting, modern, eco-friendly. If it is realized, Ufa residents will have an opportunity to get from Sipailovo residential district to October Avenue for five minutes in a warm, noiseless car, without shaking, and equipped with Wi-Fi", the Deputy Head said.

During the year, work continues on the reconstruction of the Neftyanik stadium. The construction of the indoor skating rink in Ordzhonikidze residential district continues.
