Bashkortostan is among the best sports regions of Russia for the second consecutive year

UFA, 16 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency/. A press conference dedicated to the victory of Bashkortostan at the All Russian contest for the best organization of sports activities in the Russian Federation in 2013 was held at Bashinform News Agency. The ceremony took place in the framework of the V International Sports Forum "Russia - Country of Sports", which was carried out in Cheboksary.

On October 11, at the final plenary session the Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko held a ceremony of conferring state awards of the Russian Federation for the merits in development of physical culture and sports. In particular, he presented a challenge cup to Andrey Ivanyuta, the head of the Youth and Sports Ministry of the region.

For the second consecutive year, Bashkortostan becomes the best among Russian regions by the sum of indicators such as material and technical base (IV place), adaptive physical education and sports (V place), high performance sports (IX place), financing of physical culture and sports (X place ).

Bashkortostan is not among the leaders on such indicators as physical culture and sports (43 place) and children and youth sports (26th place). Work is underway to address this issue, the head of the Youth and Sports Ministry RB marked.
