USATU scientists are among the winners of the "Innovation" competition in St. Petersburg

UFA, 15 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. The Senior Lecturer at Department of Applied Hydromechanics, Ufa State Aviation Technical University (USATU), candidate of engineering sciences Anton Svistunov and the project team "Vortex pressure control unit" won the second place in the "Innovation" competition, which was conducted by Association of Equipment Manufacturers “New Technologies in Gas Industry” as part of the IV St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

Anton Svistunov stressed that a significant role in the project progress belonged to its supervisor, candidate of engineering sciences, Associate Professor at Department of Applied Hydromechanics USATU Yuriy Akhmetov and the head of the Interuniversity Technology Transfer Centre USATU Kamil Khismatullin.

The award was presented to contestants by the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Gazprom", the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Cooperation with Exporting Countries Forum Viktor Zubkov.

The jury particularly marked the ecological properties of the invention, as it will allow not to burn up to three percent of gas in the territory of the Russian Federation and save more than seven billion rubles, the head of the USATU press centre Elena Sorokina specified.
