Bashkir GMs helped the Russian draughts team to become the best in Europe

UFA, 14 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. In Tallinn personal and team European International Draughts Championships among men and women finished. The most important European competition, after which there was a selection for the World Cup 2015, was held in two programs: blitz (October 6) and classical (from October 7 to 13). Five players from Bashkortostan became holders of the European title, and all of them won eight gold and three silver medals.
On the final day of the "classical" program the Dutchman Roel Boomstra won, Ainur Shaibakov (Bashkortostan) was the second, the Frenchman Arnaud Cordier - the third.
Women had three players who scored 13 points, and finally the Ukrainian Olga Baltazhy became the first, Tamara Tansykkuzhina the second and Latvian Zoya Golubeva the third.
Ainur Shaibakov and Aigul Idrisova were qualified for the World Cup. The debutante of European Championship Kristina Osipova made a pleasant surprise, having scored 50 percent of points and taken the 17-28th place (21th place by coefficient).
In the team competition the Russian team won the "gold" and "silver". The men's team, represented by three leading draughts players from Bashkortostan - Ainur Shaibakov, Murodullo Amrillaev and Alexander Georgiev, became the first, well ahead of the Dutch team. In the women's Russian team Tamara Tansykkuzhina (Bashkortostan) and Matrona Nogovitsyna (Yakutia) fought with Ukrainian players and having lost only one point, became the second. It can be said that the team of Bashkortostan is the strongest in Europe.
