Bashkortostan young scientists’ developments are of commercial interest

UFA, 8 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Juliya Antipina/. The Youth Innovation Forum with the participation of foreign delegations of the SCO continues in Ufa. The exhibition of young scientists’ developments is held as part of the forum at Ufa Congress Hall. 30 projects in six areas reached the finals.

The Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Sergey Chuev marked high potential of the presented developments.

The exhibition includes research developments in the areas "Information Technology", "Environmental Management", "Nanosystems", "Energy", "Agriculture", "Breakthrough Technology in the Field of Medicine."

For example, Ufa ophthalmologists presented unique elaborations for eye microsurgery.

“We present new equipment for eye surgery that helps in cataracts treatment. Today, operations are micro-invasive - a tiny incision is made by the ultrasound and artificial lens inserted in it. Thus people can retain vision for the rest of the life. We present the consumables for these operations - lenses, intraocular fluid. Another interesting development is special calibrated scalpels that we receive by chemical formation. It is the unique development in Russia,” the assistant professor of ophthalmology department at Bashkir State Medical University Timur Mukhamadeev said.
