City environmental clean-up was held in Ufa

UFA, 28 September 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. In Ufa environmental clean-up was held within a month of sanitary cleaning, accomplishment and landscaping. According to the press service of the city administration, 794 seedlings of trees and 997 shrubs were planted during the clean-up.

In the course of the day the solid waste landfill in the town of Cherkasy took garbage from all enterprises and organizations free of charge. For residential management companies waste disposal will be free of charge for a month. Total 5,500 cubic metres of waste were taken away.

The cleaned area of streets and roads amounted to 1,250 hectares, of blocks of houses and courtyard areas - 1,700 hectares, of parks and gardens - 2500 ha.

Except employees of public utilities sector, students, schoolchildren and townspeople took part in the event.
