Bashkir State University was visited by East China Jiaotong University delegation

Bashkir State University (BSU) was visited by a delegation from East China Jiaotong University of Transport: Rector Mr. Lei Xiaoyang, Deputy Director of the International Department Ms. Zhou Liping, director of the Institute of Civil Engineering, Mr. Cheng Shuysheng, Director of the Institute of Machine Building, Ms. Liu Yande, Director of the Electricity Institute, Mr. Chen Shiming.

Recall that in April this year, Bashkir State University and East China Jiaotong University signed an agreement on exchange of students. The agreement is already in force, and today 19 students study on at the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology of Bashkir State University. In turn, nine our students continue their education at East China University. They learn the Chinese language and are taking courses in their major disciplines.

The purpose of this visit is to discuss a possibility of scientists exchange and joint research. As reported by the press centre of the university, BSU researchers are already working in this direction. For example, the head of the department of engineering physics and materials Ulfat Shayakhmetov has long and fruitful cooperation with scientists from the People's Republic of China.

BSU actively collaborates with another two universities in China. Thus, 11 students from Nanchang University study at the Faculty of Russian Philology. Five students of Bashkir State University study at this university.

16 BSU students attend courses of Chinese language at Liaoning University (Shenyang City), 22 of their Chinese counterparts learn Russian at the Philological Faculty of BSU.
