Young people of Ufa will take part in environmental campaign to clean up the quay of the river Belaya

UFA, 26 September 2014. /Bashinform News Agency,/. On Saturday, September 27, students of Ufa universities and colleges will take part in the campaign to clean up the (Belaya) White River waterfront. Volunteers will accomplish the territory of the quay from the Monument of Friendship to the sports complex "Yonost". Most active participants will be awarded with prizes and gifts from the organizers - the Ministry of Youth and Sports RB and the national centre of youth employment promotion. The clean-up will take place as part of the autumn phase of the republican youth social and ecological event "My Republic".

The campaign will last until the end of October in all cities and districts of the republic.

As reported by the Youth and Sports Ministry of the region, each year the number of participants of the campaign increases. So, if in 2006 it was attended by 77,000 people, in 2013 by already more than 165,000 people. More than 4,000 cubic meters of waste were collected, about 20,000 saplings of various trees were planted.
