Achievements of Ufa Research Institute of Eye Diseases were highly estimated at the Ophthalmology Congress in London

UFA, 26 September 2014. /Bashinform News Agency,Elmira Sabirova/. Achievements of Ufa Research Institute of Eye Diseases were highly estimated by the European Association of the International Congress of Ophthalmology held in London.

Employees of the Institute under the supervision of the Director, Professor Mukharram Bikbov presented 22 reports covering results of scientific research in such areas as femtosecond laser cataract surgery, including in children, treatment of cornea, retina and vitreous body diseases. Note that no other Russian hospital was presented here at such a large scale.

Especially for the delegation from Ufa Research Institute British colleagues organized a reception and introductory excursion over Queen's Hospital in London. In addition, our ophthalmologists visited diagnostic and therapeutic departments, surgeries at the largest private clinic «The Wellington Hospital», listened to lectures on medical care organization in public and private institutions of Great Britain.

This year over 12 thousand experts and researchers in the fields of ophthalmology from more than 100 countries came to London. The scientific program of the congress included sessions of reports and electronic presentations, training courses, satellite symposia and video sessions.
