Technical Commission of the International World Games Association will visit Ufa

UFA, 22 September 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. On September 30, the Technical Commission of the International World Games Association (IWGA) arrives in Ufa. It includes the IWGA Vice President John Bishop, Sports Director Joachim Gossow, Honorary Vice-President Jacobus Koren.

As reported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports RB, for four days, the Commission will examine the infrastructure of Ufa, as well as sports facilities for their compliance with the international requirements for sports included in the program of the XI World Games 2021. In addition, guests will hold a series of workshops, which will focus on the bid campaign.

Together with the Government of RB and administration of Ufa the representatives of the Ministry of Sports of Russia headed by the Deputy Minister Pavel Kolobkov and members of the committee on national and non-Olympic sports will communicate with the Technical Committee.

Recall that Ufa is a contender for the right to host the World Games 2021. This year, Ufa presented its Bid Book for consideration by the leadership of the International World Games Association. The capital of Bashkortostan competes with two more cities - Lima (Peru) and Birmingham, Alabama (USA). In January 2015, in Lausanne a final presentation of the Bid Book will be held, after which the city won the right to host the World Games 2021 will be named.
